We knew normal – the pre-covid normal everyone had grown accustomed to. We all know the old normal isn’t going to work anymore. Now, populist demagogues and wannabe autocrats such as Trump try to sell you a “new normal”. Beware of the agenda behind their “new normal”, though. It’s based on hate and in reality suppresses any real progress, such as the Black Lives Matter movement. Racism too is a deadly virus – one that is actually engineered by humans. Don’t fall for it. Instead, build your own normal, your true normal, by getting in tune with nature, organizing and freeing yourself from societal norms. No, it’s surely not a mask that restricts your freedom. It takes more effort and courage than risking the health of others if you want to change something in your life.

Trans.formation is the international, conscious Hip-Hop producer/mc duo of Wunderflo & Essential I, founded in 2004. In 2014, they released their debut album meta.morphosis.

The name Trans.formation stands for transfer of information. A reference to the way the duo crafts their tracks entirely via online communication as Essential I & Wunderflo have never been in the same studio room, let alone in the same country together.

Their objective is to provide undiluted hip-hop with powerful messages as well as positive, fun vibes. All of this in an experimental and cutting edge way. If you are a fan of artists like OutKast, Mos Def, Anderson .Paak or Childish Gambino chances are you might enjoy the sound of trans.formation, too.

Essential I is a lyricist and vocalist from Washington State whose styles range from rap to reggae. During the last decade, Essential I has worked with and performed alongside many great artists such as Turbulence, Lutan Fyah, Chezidek, Anthony B, Promoe, The Lambsbread, Jah Sun, Perfect, Adrian Xavier, Joseph Israel, Mista Chatman, Clinton Fearon, Ras Michael, Rocker T, Winstrong, and many more.

The instrumentals of Wunderflo, a producer and mixer from Germany, push genre boundaries and offer musical complexity, while never sacrificing on fun, mood, and feel.
